In the presence of  the Environment Minister, Energy and Climate Change Mr. Yiannis Maniatis the 5th ceremony of the European Business Awards for the Environment and the first of the Greek Awards ceremony for the Environment has been completed successfully.

In the biodiversity subcategory three equivalent awards were given to companies:

The Panhellenic Association of Environmental Protection (PASEPPE) (www.paseppe.gr) tuned for the fifth consecutive time the evaluation of the candidates for the European Business Awards for the Environment of the European Commission, in cooperation with representatives of academic institutions, trade and scientific bodies. The same rigorous process was followed for the Greek Awards for the Environment.

The "European Business Awards for the Environment" first appeared in 1987 as «European Better Environment Awards». This is an extremely important European institution for the adoption and implementation of environmental policies of the European companies and aims to encourage the adoption of policies on environmental protection and sustainable development.

The European Business Awards for the Environment, European Commission and the Greek Awards for the Environment under the auspices of the Ministries of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, Internal Affairs and Development and Competitiveness.

The award ceremony is sponsored by Greek companies Δ.Ε.Η., WIND, EM GOLDEX, ΕΝVITEC A.E., ΓΚΟΛΙΟΠΟΥΛΟΣ ΑΤΕ, POLYECO Α.Ε., ARCHIRODON, ASE SYNERGY CONSULTING Α.Ε., INTRAKAT και ARVIS SOLAR Ε.Π.Ε.

Communication and presentation of the awards ceremony are offered by NERIT with the First Radio Program, το ΠΡΑΣΙΝΟ ΣΠΙΤΙ and the newspaper ΧΡΗΜΑΤΙΣΤΗΡΙΟ,  AD BUSINESS, CSR REVIEW, CSR WEEK and CSRnews.gr, Reporter.gr,  ΤΕΧΝΟΕΚΔΟΤΙΚΗ PRESS,  WATER & WASTE and GLOBAL SUSTAIN.
